Ustadha Eman started praising Allah (swt) and sending dua for the students .
Messengers that Allah (swt) called Al Mukhlaseen are Yusuf(as) and Musa(as).
Surah Yusuf 24: (وَلَقَدۡ هَمَّتۡ بِهِۦۖ وَهَمَّ بِہَا لَوۡلَآ أَن رَّءَا بُرۡهَـٰنَ رَبِّهِۦۚ ڪَذَٲلِكَ لِنَصۡرِفَ عَنۡهُ ٱلسُّوٓءَ وَٱلۡفَحۡشَآءَۚ إِنَّهُ ۥ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ) (And indeed she did desire him and he would have inclined to her desire, had he not seen the evidence of his Lord. Thus it was, that We might turn away from him evil and illegal sexual intercourse. Surely, he was one of Our chosen, (guided) slaves.)
If you are a sincere servant of Allah (swt), then Allah (swt) will avert all evil from you, subhan Allah, whether past problems or future calamities. That’s why Sincerity is the Way to Salvation (الاخلاص طريق الخلاص).
Surah Maryam 51: (وَٱذۡكُرۡ فِى ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ مُوسَىٰٓۚ إِنَّهُ ۥ كَانَ مُخۡلَصً۬ا وَكَانَ رَسُولاً۬ نَّبِيًّ۬ا) (And mention in the Book (this Qur’ân) Mûsa (Moses). Verily! he was chosen and he was a Messenger (and) a Prophet)
All messengers are sincere to Allah (swt), but as a praise, Allah (swt) mentioned Musa (as) and Yusuf (as).
Places for Doing Ikhlas (مجالات الاخلاص)
We need to have Al Ikhlas while seeking knowledge
Sincerity in resting the Quran (اخلاص في تالة القران) : We need Al Ikhlas while reciting the Quran . Al Ikhlas meaning purifying the wanting of yourself . Either you are reading or listening or reciting , you need to be sincere .
Hadith: The Prophet Muhammad(ﷺ) said: (اقرءوا القرآن وسلوا الله به من قبل أن يجيء قوم يسألون الناس به) (Read the Quran and ask Allah by it before a people will come asking the people by it)
Recite the Quran so it’s a command , you need to ask Allah (swt) ,seeking His Face . Someone might ask what to ask Allah (swt)?? : His closeness, His Face, His pleasure . Because Quran is Al Ibadah . Ask Allah (swt) before it come a time where people read the Quran and asking people . Meaning they recite Quran for the people ,pleasure of people .
Purify the recitation for Quran from the wanting of yourself (تخليص تالة القران من إرادات النفس )
We need to free the recitation from the wanting of the people . You don’t read the Quran and waiting the praise or want the reward . As if you are using the Quran to fulfill the Quran for your own desires , competition, wanting the praise , the certificate . Human being has tendency toward the tangible , people ,certificate and so on .
You need to recite the Quran for the Face of Allah (swt) and not anyone else .that is why you need to believe in Allah (swt) so you will the Ikhlaas .
Hadith: The Prophet Muhammad(ﷺ) said: (أكثر منافقي أمتي قراؤها) (The majority of the hypocrites of my Ummah are the reciters of the Quran) – Sahih Jaami
You need to be sincere while reciting the Quran. Because it’s very tempting , specially when there is no Ikhlas .
Prophet Muhammad(ﷺ) said approaching the Day of Judgement you will find many recite of Quran , they are learning Quran and reciting, and teaching Quran without teaching them Al Ikhlas . That’s is why you need to learn Al Ikhlas before going to the Quran studies . You have to emphasize on Al Ikhlas and purify yourself each moment .You Must not use the Quran as a tool to fulfill your desires. The hypocrites have no Ikhlaas .
Why the majority are hypocrites ?
Because they focus on memorizing , as there is no Ikhlas you will not have that blessing of the Quran . You see Poole memorizing without understanding or act upon . The problem is Al Ikhlas . One ayah with Al Ikhlas can take you high while knowing the whole Quran without all Ikhlas will take you very down . So what do we need ? Al Ikhlas Tariq Al khalaas . You can’t escape reading Quran but There is no salvation without all ikhlas .
They are reading but no effect on their attitude ,they are similar to the others . The person who recite Quran will be different than the rest of the people . The carrier of the Quran must have good character . Because of carrying the speech of Allah (swt) he will be different , imagine the carrier of the Quran with no Ikhlas it’s like a lost .
Sincerity in Tawheed (الاخلاص في التوحيد): You also need Al Ikhlas in Establishing At-Tawheed. The meaning of At-taweed in the kalimah Tawheed meaning لا اله الا الله .
Hadith: The Prophet Muhammad(ﷺ) said:
.(مَنْ قال : لا إلهَ إلَّا اللهُ مُخْلِصًا دخلَ الجنةَ) (Whoever says (لا إلهَ إلَّا اللهُ) sincerely will enter paradise) – silsilah Sahih.
That shows that if you say لا اله الا الآه seeking the Face of Allah (swt) you will enter paradise and if the person says لا اله الا الله with no sincerity he will enter hellfire.
At-Tawheed means : Meaning there is no true God worthy of worship except Allah (swt) , you will not attach out the love and Magnificent expect to Allah (swt) .(التوحيد الا اله الا الله لا معبود بحق الا الله ، أتعلق محبة و تعظيما الا بالله )
Al Ikhlas negates the means to entering the hellfire (فان الاخلاص ينفي أسباب دخول النار) meaning Al Ikhlas will save you from entering hellfire . This is the Jihad. Some people saying the testimony of faith with no Ikhlas .
There is people who say لا اله الا الله but they will enter hellfire because they do not give the right of Al Ikhlas rather there was some kind of shirk (فمن دخل النار من القائلين لا اله الا الله بسبب عدم تحقيق الاخلاص بل كان في قلبه نوع من الشرك)
Hadith: (عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، رضى الله عنه قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ” مَا قَالَ عَبْدٌ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ قَطُّ مُخْلِصًا إِلاَّ فُتِحَتْ لَهُ أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ حَتَّى تُفْضِيَ إِلَى الْعَرْشِ مَا اجْتَنَبَ الْكَبَائِرَ “) (Abu Hurairah [may Allah be pleased with him] narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:“No worshipper has ever said: None has the right to be worshipped but Allah (Lā ilāha illallāh)’ sincerely, except that the gates of heaven are opened for it, until it reaches to the Throne, so long as he avoids the major sins.”) – Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3590
No slave of Allah (swt) will say لا اله الا الله with Al Ikhlas , the door of paradise will open and the word will recap the throne of Allah (swt) . This good word which is لا اله الا الله will raise up .
Surah Faatir : 10
مَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ الْعِزَّةَ فَلِلَّهِ الْعِزَّةُ جَمِيعًا إِلَيْهِ يَصْعَدُ الْكَلِمُ الطَّيِّبُ وَالْعَمَلُ الصَّالِحُ يَرْفَعُهُ وَالَّذِينَ يَمْكُرُونَ السَّيِّئَاتِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ وَمَكْرُ أُولَٰئِكَ هُوَ يَبُورُ
Whoever desires honor, then to Allah belongs the honor wholly. To Him do ascend the good words; and the good deeds, lift them up, and (as for) those who plan evil deeds, they shall have a severe chastisement; and (as for) their plan, it shall perish.
The good deeds which is Al Ikhlas make the good word which is لا اله الا الله will open the gate of the heavens and raise up till the Arsh of Allah (swt) .
The acceptance of the deeds , is when it reaches to the Arsh . How much you have a name in the earth ,you also have a name in the heavens . And don’t worry about your deputies in this earth as people go with desire but the Angels writing with truth. Human being heart is changing ,and according their mood ,so your tulle might change as for The Angels they will love what Allah (swt) loves . Al Ikhlas needs jihad .
The condition of acceptance of the kalimah with Allaah and to benefit from it (شرط قبول الكلمة و نفعها عند الله)
Must be sincere (كون القائل مخلصا)
Abstain from the major sins(وان يتجنب الكبائر)
Hadith: The Prophet (pbuh) said: (أنَّ معاذًا لمَّا حضَرتهُ الوفاةُ قالَ اكشِفوا عنِّي سِجفَ القبَّةِ سَمِعْتُ رسولَ اللَّهِ صلَّى اللَّهُ علَيهِ وسلَّمَ يقولُ مَن شَهِدَ أن لا إلَهَ إلَّا اللَّهُ مخلِصًا مِن قلبِهِ دخلَ الجنَّةَ) (Whoever bears witness (لا إلَهَ إلَّا اللَّهُ) sincerely from his heart then he will enter paradise.)
To be sincere is to be free from anything that can spoil it (مخلصا سالما من اي شوب فلا يشوبها)
Riya’a (الرياء): you’re doing it for people to see you.
Reputation (التسميع): you’re doing it to be heard amongst the people, for your reputation.
When there is no riya’a or reputation, then this sincerity is yaqeen (شهادة يقين).
Hadith: The Prophet (pbuh) said: (وإن الله قد حرم على النار من قال لا إله إلا الله يبتغي بذلك وجه الله) (Allah has made the fire of Hell unlawful for him who affirms that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah.”) – Bukhari and Muslim Book 18, Hadith 1529
But what is the condition? It must be for the face of Allah (swt), there must be action.
Whoever is truly seeking the face of Allah (swt) then he should do all he can to reach it (من طلب وجها فلا بد أن يعمل كل ما في وسعه للوصول اليه).
What are the impacts of iklhas in the word of tawheed? (ما آثار الاخلاص في كلمة التوحيد؟)
From Seeking the Face of Allah meaning , you will do the maximum you can to reach that Face (من طلب وجها فلابد ان يعمل كل مافي وسعه للوصول اليه):
Meaning doing an effort to please Allah (swt) . The person is not only say with words but also doing some actions.
When you are sincere in saying it will show on the actions. You will put your Tawheed in action , and Al Ikhlas will help you for the action. And the fruits will be :
Following the command (اتباع الأوامر )
Abstaining from the sins (اجتناب النواهي)
