Day 9 : Sincerity is the way of Salvation (الاجلاص طريق الخلاص ) by Ustadha Eman Al Obaid (HafidhaAllah)
Day 9: Sincerity is the way of salvation
Ustadha Eman started praising Allah (swt) and sending dua for the students.
The sincerity and purity for Allaah as He commanded us . Al Ikhlas is something very honorable , we have Al Ikhlas in the worship and the Ikhlas with dealing with people . Al Ikhlas in the Ibadah is obligatory . But Al Ikhlaas in the dealing is recommended but both of them are way of salvation . All that related to the Salaah , fasting and so should be with Al Ikhlas as it is the condition of acceptance of good deeds . Islam is the way of life ,in the Ibadah and dealing with people .
Let’s continue with Al Ikhlas in the relationship , whatever relation you have , you do it for Ibadah and that will upgrade the relation. We have done with the hadith ,loving for the sake for the Allah (swt) , sitting for Allah (swt) ,mov siting for Allah (swt) and gifting for Allah (swt) . We are not talking about halal and haram but just to upgrade your relation .
Al Ikhlas in feeding the people , here is dealing with people . You can feed people for any other desires and that is not wrong , but if you want to have the reward then you do it for Allaah . We upgrade our actions .
Surah Al Insaan : 9
We only feed you for Allah’s sake; we desire from you neither reward nor thanks:
Al Ikhlas in the Feeding of the people(الاخلاص في اطعام الطعام) , though they are I love in it still they feel the needy ,the poor and the slaves. And there is no desires , as they can’t benefit you . Sometimes people feeding for some benefits , but you are feeding them and that shows the sincerity , that is really for the Face of Allah (swt) , the Mukhlaseen doesn’t feed and excepting from them but he doesn’t went a reward or a thanks .
The Mukhles’s characteristics
Do not asked from people Dua not a praise or a thanks They do not went anything in return , not even a Dua
Ibn ‘Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) said:The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Grant shelter to him who begs for it in the Name of Allah, give to him who begs in the Name of Allah, accept the invitation of him who invites you, and requite him who does a favour to you, but if you are unable to requite him, go on praying for him till you are sure that you have requited him adequately.”[Abu Dawud and An- Nasa’i].Book 18, Hadith 213
If you are the upper hand and doing for Allah (swt) with no return , the lower hand supposed to reward him. Something you give him as a reward as a manner and etiquette . Just to show appreciation . And if you can’t find any reward you at lest need to make a Dua for the person till you get a reward . As for the Mukhlaseen ,thry are doing and wait no reward from the people.
The test of the Mukhlaseen is not over , after he is been rewarded from the lower hand , then he will receive the gift and return a gift too . Because the Mukhlaseen want the reward only from Allah (swt) .
Imagine x being a Mukhlaseen gives to y a gift , then x should make dua or thanks. So after x got the Dua and the thanks ,he should return Dua or the thanks to make his balance o with Allah (swt) . Because the reward with Allah (swt) .
(I gifted the Messenger of Allah a goat, he said: ‘Divide it’. When the servant returned, Aishah would ask, ‘What did they say?’. The servant said: ‘May Allah bless you all’. Then Aishah would say: ‘And may Allah bless them’. We reply to them the same as what they said, and our reward (from Allah) remains for us)

When Nabi (صلى الله عليه و سلام) got s gift , he told Aisha to distribute to people , she will sent her made to give away to people . So when the servant return she will ask the servant when you give them ,what did they said ? The servant say they said barak Allah Feekum so she will return the same : wa feehim barak Allaah . And she said we will answer us the same they said to us ann the full reward will remain for that . Because she got something from the Dunya she want to make it zero balance . That is showing she didn’t except any return from them but when it came she returned it and that is the sincerity . Either people appreciate or no , or thank you or no you don’t need to be bother as you have nothing to return and it is good for your Al Ikhlas . Sometimes people are not thankful to you and you stop doing for them it negates Al Ikhlas . Al Ikhlas menacing no return from doodle , if they return this isn heir return .
How to be sincere in your Dua ? To know it let’s see the Ayah from the Quran . If you remember in the beginning we talked about the people in the middle of the sea ,they will Dua with sincerity .
Surah Al Ghaafir: 13-14
He it is Who shows you His signs and sends down for you sustenance from heaven, and none minds but he who turns (to Him) again and again. Therefore call upon Allah, being sincere to Him in obedience, though the unbelievers are averse:
Allah (swt) will show you the ayah ➡️and will send from the sky the Rizq ➡️ no one will remember the ayah when he will be reminded except the one who really return to Allah (swt) . Reminding need Al Ikhlas . The reminder will lead you to Al Ikhlas .
The you do Dua to Allah (swt) ,a Dua with Al Ikhlas . Because you know the Rizq is from Allah (swt) . You make it so pure for Allah (swt) . The problem is we always want the provision from the earth but it is in the sky .
Then Allah (swt) says you need to do it with Al Ikhlas even if the disbeliever in Allah (swt) hate it . People want you do for them but when you do for Allah (swt) they hate it .
Sheikh Saadi(Rahimaullah) don’t care about them , and it shouldn’t effect you , and not the blame of the Blamers should affect you . Those who don’t believe in Allah (swt) don’t have Al Ikhlas me they hate Al Ikhlas so much .
Surah Al Ghaafir: 65
He is the Living, there is no god but He, therefore call on Him, being sincere to Him in obedience; (all) praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
Your Dua should be to Allah (swt) alone , you ask sincerely Allah (swt) . The one who you need to ask alone is the One never dies . Everybody will die , change ,move but Allah (swt) from who you ask is Al HAYY , Ever living ,never die , never discontinue and no one deserve the attachment except Allah (swt) . That shows the sincerity ,mid you believe in Allah (swt) you will ask Allah (swt) alone .الحمدلله رب العالمين all the praise belong to Allah (swt) and no one else .
May الله grant us Al Ikhlas . Amen
